A note on scope. Midground has not yet launched. At this time, the only personal information we collect is an email address — voluntarily submitted through our waitlist form. This policy reflects that limited, pre-launch scope and will be updated comprehensively before the product becomes available.

Midground, Inc. ("Midground," "we," "us," or "our") is building an AI-powered relationship coaching service. This Privacy Policy governs the information we collect through our website and waitlist at this pre-launch stage.

At this time, the only personal information we collect is your email address, and only if you voluntarily submit it through our waitlist form.
We do not collect your name, phone number, location, payment information, or any other personal data. We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, analytics scripts, or any behavioral tracking on this website.
3. Why We Collect It
We use your email address for one purpose only:
- To notify you when Midground is ready to launch
- To send you occasional updates about our progress, if you have indicated interest
We will not use your email address for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than the above without obtaining your explicit consent first.
4. How We Store and Process It
Waitlist submissions are processed through Formspree (formspree.io), a third-party form processing service that acts as our data processor. Formspree stores submissions securely on our behalf. You can review their privacy practices at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
We retain your email address on our waitlist until you request removal or unsubscribe. We do not maintain separate internal databases of personal data beyond what Formspree stores for us.
5. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your email address with any third party, except as follows:
- Formspree — as our form processor, solely to receive and store your waitlist submission
- Legal requirements — if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process
That's it. We have no advertising partners, data brokers, or other third-party recipients of your personal information.
6. Your Rights and Choices
You may, at any time and at no charge:
- Unsubscribe from any email we send using the unsubscribe link included in that email
- Request deletion of your email address from our waitlist by emailing hello@midground.ai
- Request confirmation of what information we hold about you
We will respond to all requests within 30 days.
7. California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)
We do not sell or share personal information as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act or California Privacy Rights Act. California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and to opt out of any sale — which we do not engage in.

8. EEA and UK Residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the legal basis for processing your email address is consent — given when you submitted the waitlist form. You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restrict or object to our processing
- Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing
- Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority

9. Children's Privacy
This website is not directed at individuals under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted their information through our waitlist, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

As Midground moves toward launch, this policy will be substantially updated to reflect the full scope of how we handle personal information within the product — including how coaching data is stored, processed, and protected. Privacy-first design is a core commitment of ours, not an afterthought.
We will notify waitlist members of any material changes by email before they take effect. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
